My Christmas list is filled. I have been waiting for this treasure for a long time. After enjoying many of Peg’s recipes at events near and far, it is a privilege to be able to create them in my own kitchen! Peg’s recipes are delicious, doable by an amateur cook, and enjoyed by the diners!

I received the Cookbook “A Dash of Southern” as a birthday gift and I just love it.The photographs are so great that you want to pick up a cookie right off the page. The instructions are quite clear and the additional hints are very helpful. Even a new cook can use this book and make a great dish.
What makes this book so wonderful and unusual are all the stories behind the recipes and how some of the dishes were created.

This is not just a Cookbook, but a Coffee table book. Everyone will be proud to display “A Dash of Southern”.

Received this gorgeous cookbook as a “SURPRISE” lovely gift from a beautiful friend and can’t wait to try every recipe.
The Carrot Cake for Jarv Bob is heavenly! ( pg. 194 ) Peg’s notes( tips ) are terrific!
Served that cake in small squares that ladies just picked up, gobbled down and went back for more!!
The Mexican Wedding Ring cookies ( pg.153) flew off the plate at Christmas. The crescent shape makes a big difference.
Inspiring and beautiful….”A Dash of Sourthern” is perfection !

LOVE this book! If there was a higher star rating I would mark it 100. This is truly one of the BEST cookbooks I have ever bought. It’s amazing- everything in it is fantastic. I love the stories, photography, recipes and don’t forget the hints. I can’t wait to start giving this book for gifts. What a wonderful wedding gift this would make. Can’t thank you enough for making this book- truly a work of art!

I bought this lovely cookbook for myself at The Book Loft author signing event. I am from North Carolina and enjoyed meeting a fellow Southerner in Santa Ynez Valley, CA. I especially want to tell you that I prepared the recipe for Candied Walnuts – and changed the nut to pecans, which are my favorite. I have made this same recipe numerous times and my recipients love the Candied Pecans! One told me she chopped the candied pecans a bit and uses them as a salad topping. It is a wonderful cookbook, beautifully photographed and full of yummy ideas. I can’t wait to try the Crab Cakes with a choice of two sauces!!!
